3 overarching goals:

HOUSING:

My office recognizes that Alaska and House District 20 are lacking in new homes and that the housing available is too expensive for most. We will seek to incentivize new construction while working to contain costs and improve policies that help renters and mobile homeowners.

SAFETY:

Through conversations with non-profits, state agencies, and law enforcement, my office will continue to promote policies that keep our children safe. By raising the age of consent from 16 to 18, limiting harms caused by social media, and making sure that foster children avoid unnecessary mental health hospitalizations, my office will keep our children’s safety front and center in all our advocacy.

HEALTHCARE:

Keeping Alaskans healthy must be a priority of our state, and we know that our population is not as healthy as it could be. My office will seek to improve Alaskans’ health through the promotion of innovative prevention policies that should also lower health care spending. With some of the highest health care costs in the world, Alaska must begin serious work at containing prices in order to improve our economy, our safety, and our education system.
