District 20 in East Anchorage includes the U-Med District, Campbell Park and Tudor Road. HD 20 is a community of renters and homeowners, students and seniors, veterans and health care workers, small businesses and working families. It is a district with enormous strengths and real challenges.

Everyone deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Andrew is focused on practical solutions that increase housing supply, reduce barriers to building, address homelessness with evidence-based policies, and make it easier for working families, seniors, and young people to stay in the communities they love.

Safe communities start with safe streets, reliable infrastructure, and neighborhoods where families can feel secure. Andrew supports common-sense investments in road maintenance, pedestrian safety, snow removal, lighting, and traffic solutions that make Anchorage safer for drivers, cyclists, and people walking to school, work, and home.

Strong public schools are the foundation of opportunity and are essential to Alaska’s future. Andrew will stand up for students, parents, and educators, by supporting stable school funding, smaller class sizes, and ensure every child has the chance to succeed.
Alaska must also invest in the University of Alaska system so students can build their futures here at home strengthen our workforce, and help grow the next generation of teachers, health care providers, engineers, public servants, and community leaders.

Andrew believes health care is a human right. As a physician assistant, he has seen firsthand both how deeply Alaskans rely on our health care system and where that system is failing them. He knows there are practical ways to fix it: improving access to care, reducing costs, supporting providers, protecting patients, and making sure Alaskans can get the care they need.

No child, senior, veteran, or working family should go hungry in Alaska. Andrew supports strengthening food assistance programs, reducing barriers for families in need, supporting local food systems, and making sure our communities have the resources to respond when Alaskans are struggling.

Public safety means preventing crime, responding quickly when people need help, and addressing the root causes that make communities less safe. Andrew supports law enforcement, firefighters, prosecutors, emergency responders, and victim services while also investing in mental health care, substance use treatment, and prevention.

Alaska’s future depends on a strong, skilled workforce. Andrew supports good-paying jobs, apprenticeships, workforce training, safe working conditions, and policies that help Alaskans build careers here at home in health care, construction, education, public safety, energy, and other essential fields.

The Permanent Fund belongs to Alaskans, and it must be protected for future generations. Andrew believes in a responsible, sustainable approach that honors the dividend, protects essential services, and keeps Alaska on solid financial footing without political gimmicks or short-term thinking.
